Wayne is a village located in the northeastern part of Kane County, Illinois, United States. It is situated about 41 miles west of Chicago, and covers an area of 5.39 square miles. Wayne is bordered by the towns of St. Charles, West Chicago, Bartlett, Hanover Park and Carol Stream. The village has a population of approximately 2,400 people and is governed by a Village President and a Board of Trustees. The village is known for its scenic beauty, equestrian trails, and historic architecture. Some of the popular landmarks in Wayne include the Longmeadow Bridge, the Dunham Castle, and the Pratt's Castle.
